Samsung Galaxy Note II starts receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update
Samsung has officially released the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note II phablet. The update for the Galaxy Note II is being rolled out via OTA (over-the-air) and Samsung's desktop app, KIES. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Note II is about 700MB in size and is also available in India.
Sammobile in a report has claimed that the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy Note II phablet is stable, if compared to the Galaxy S III's update. On Tuesday, Samsung reportedly suspended Android 4.3 update for Galaxy S III after users reported issues.
The new update changes core UI elements of the Galaxy Note II to match the Galaxy S4 and Note 3's interface. Further, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the phablet adds new features like Samsung KNOX and Samsung Wallet. The update also makes the Galaxy Note II phablet compatible with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
Sammobile has detailed the changelog for the Android 4.3 update for Galaxy Note II which includes TRIM support; better RAM management; a new Samsung keyboard; a new lockscreen with multiple widgets; a new feature to change clock size and set a personal message; new screen modes, much like flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4; Daydream, a feature introduced in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean; new Driving mode; new actionable notifications; move-to-SD-card feature; new camera mode (sound and shot); new additions in notification centre; completely revamped settings UI; new S Voice and some new Samsung apps like Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, and Music.
